Welcome: Leicester is an incredibly diverse city - as well as being the ethnically diverse it also has specific social groups and neighbourhoods that suffer deprivation.

There is no doubt that some of these groups have particular difficulty in taking an active role within the Leicester Community.

The social and regeneration function is a tool that is used / provided by the council and a variety of other agencies, and helps us to understand these groups their needs and locations, by providing and undertaking a number of strategies.
